Progression from spreadbetting

Hi everybody
I have been operating reasonably successfully day-trading with D4F. However, I still get the feeling from time to time that I am at their mercy and they are capable of interfering with my trading by delaying quotes, re-quoting and filling at less favourable (to me) prices. (But overall, they've been pretty good).
I have considered moving on to CFD's, as CFD's are regulated much more closely and the prices must legally match the underlying market etc. The downside is that CFD's are not exempt from taxation.

Has anyone experienced the D4F CFD platform and had the chance to compare it with their D4F spreadbet experience?

Would you see my proposed move as a positive advance, sideways or backwards step?

Which CFD platforms would you recommend for FTSE100 day-trading?

Any feedback or PM's greatly appreciated.

Cheers.
