50,000 shares

Does anybody have any recommendations on a good broker that will allow me to clip maybe 25-50,000 uk shares intraday . Does anybody have experience of trading such size and any difficulties or problems they may have faced.

Any more information would be useful.

How much are they each? Size is meaningless without knowing book cost.

Depends which market, in BP you can probably do this size easily but Rio you'd be looking at a big discount / premium.

I found Etrade CFD quite good.

It will be FTSE100 stocks and their price range will be anything around the £5 to £10 range as anything smaller will offer a much smaller % movement. We will be looking to capture a few of the daily price waves that meet specified RR ratios.

We have been testing this with smaller quantities of 10,000 shares using CMC and it has not really been a problem. Will be testing in two weeks with GNI with a larger quantity.

for anythng over a few 1000 shares don't use a spreadbetter, go for CFD's or DMA as you may struggle to enter/ext larger trades wth a spreadbetter

With a decent broker that should prove no problem at all. if you are executing this business yourself and not relying on advice send me a message and i will let you know how to cut your execution costs by about 40-50%.
