Anyone know some good stock scanners that can quickly scan through the FTSE and find stocks with relevant levels say ADX over 30 or other indicators?

It's a long wait, & not one reply. Surely the UK is not That far behind the US of A!
Not one reply to my request for a pointer on finding a stock screener for UK stock.
Ah...well.

I've done one as part of my scanning system, written in MS Access VBA. I'm a tightwad, so wrote the system to "do the maths" on end of day data which is loaded automatically from Yahoo. I then get a tabular output which, in access, you just click on the column headers to rank, so i can look at *for example) ADX, 'Closeness' to the upper and lower BBands, %R, any manner of moving averages and so on.

Once you've screened, then move to your on-line brokers software and use their charting package to finesse your selections.

Of course, this only works for us end-of-day peeps, and in reality I tend to screen once a week (Sunday) and load up potential trades as a watchlist on-line with CMC markets (who, so far, I've found fabulous for a noob like me)

I think Stock Screener - Market In&Out - Technical Stock Screener - ETF Stock Screener - Stock Screening Strategy Backtest - Forex Screener has all the features you need. Besides it has hundreds of different screening criteria to choose from including ma-price crossovers, stochastics, fibonacci levels ,ichimoku, macd&rsi divergences, chart patterns, support/resistance, point and figure patterns, trendlines, accumulation/distribution divergences etc. You can select from many technical criteria to find financial instruments that fit your investments needs or trading strategy. Also you can create multiple custom screens and save your screens for future reference. Provided screens and reports will be extremely helpful in optimizing your trades. It is not a free website but the service you get is really priceless, best stock screener ever...

Try ShareScope. They have filters and other useful tools for traders/investors interested in UK companies. They charge different prices for different charting packages.

The best package I've been using is StockCharts.com, they charge around $39 and they cover the FTSE charts live .It's very simple to use their scanner. The sad thing though, they're going to stop the European coverage due to low number of subscriptions. I really hope they'll reverse their decision! I have been trying to find an alternative package for the last 2 weeks and I can't find a decent one.
