I was looking at apple's share price today, and i was a bit worried that it seems overvalued with hype from the iphone?

I mean over the last year apple have had amazing returns, but since the launch of the iphone it just seems abit overpriced.

So my question is: are apple's share prices overvalued?

LOL i wish.
No im actually looking to invest in them, but i feel its slightly overvalued. Im pretty sure that their share price will climb in the next few months, but with the share split 2:1 and the possibility that its overvalued - im tempted to wait for a little while.

Didn't know there was gonna be a stock split.

When is that scheduled for ?

oh btw - if you search for apple on the LSE it tells me that its there under ACP, yet its also under AAPL in the NASDAQ. But when i look at apples webpage they say " Q: What exchanges does Apple stock trade on?
A: Apple common shares are traded on The Nasdaq Stock Market under the ticker symbol AAPL, and on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange under the symbol APCD. "

But whats strange with the LSE one is that is moves differently to the US stock. is that normal for dual listed stocks?

Hi laythh,

In my opinion, Sun Microsystems (SUNW) is a stronger stock in the same sector as Apple.

Check the weekly 5 year chart for SUNW - it has recently broken through strong upper resistance at $6.

Thanks,

Damian
