News sites for NASDAQ and NYSE

Im looking for some news sites to keep up with the latest on the nasdaq and the nyse. Also are there sites where i can see what predictions analysts are making about the stocks? On investopedia i saw that they stated about analysts making predictions about certain stock, is there a certain site or magazine i can find this information and what is it that they take into account for these estimates?

Any information is appreciated, thanks.

Yahoo finance is the basic, www.finviz.com has company news and free charts. www.fool.com, www.zacks.com, these two have stock research reports, but most of them are not free. The evaluation of a stock's performance is mainly based on its company's historical balance sheet and income statement. Analysts compare figures (revenue, cost, asset, debt, etc.) of the past 3 years, using their professional judgement to decide if the company will grow big or not.

That answer does nothing to assist the OP. Completely and utterly pointless reply.

What is the point in saying "from the horses mouth" when you don't define what, when, where and how this horse with a mouth may assist. Eh?

I did not think it was absolutely necessary to spell things out. If you want information on the NYSE and NASDAQ, then it would makes sense to go the NYSE and NASDAQ, id est, the horse's mouth. The OP asked about news on the NYSE and NASDAQ. The NYSE knows about its services the best as it is the NYSE.

Duly noted. Thank you. It appears as though you have never heard the expression before. how, when, where need not be involved. If you want information on your neighbor, then you neighbor is the horse's mouth. If you want information on the NYSE, then the NYSE is the horse's mouth. :smart:
