Rebates

I know a friend who works at City Index and their large clients all receive some kind of rebate in over night funding charges. Spread rebate is more rare and given to 'whale' clients. IG has a similar arrangement. I've yet to hear of 'average joes' getting any rebate. I'd be extremely interested if you know any that does. Cheers.

Thanks for the reply. My company is actually in the process of rolling out a rebate program for Indices treasuries and Commodities on Spreadbetting which we are launching next week. We are doing the same for FX as well. We already rebate CFD Equities. We have plans to roll out the rebate on individual equities on SB soon.

This is the link if you need info our to contact us.

I do not believe in a rebate system for spread betting. Perhaps you will prove me wrong, with larger stakes one will probably trade DMA anyway. What really counts is spread, execution, service and consistency on part of the SB company.
Good luck though and I will for sure check out your service.

How come you're a 'member' not a vendor, brendanvest, and isn't your company just providing SB as a white label?

Waiting fior a vendor classification. The advertisement is on T2W today.
Because we cant reduce the spread we rebate the customer a percentage of the spread paid so we are still creating value to the client.

Can you give some spread examples please, without rebates?
I am currently paying 1 point in FT/DAX and 2 in DOW.

Thanks.

2 points FTSE
2 points DAX
3 points DOW

Rebates also available for CFDs and FX.

Thanks for the interest.

Thanks for the reply.
So 1 point more on all 3.
Which one (rebate or paying 1 point extra every time) work out better for the clients?

I think you can get 1 pt on FTSE from several firms these days (during in-market hours). Having said that I do think Pretium's offering on equities has an edge. At least you have nothing to lose as most firms charge 10bp.
