Has anyone read this book by Malcolm Pryor? I'm about 3/4 through it and found it good so far. Lots of highlighing and annotation.

A lot of the material I have picked up from other places but this book really brings it all together nicely.

i have read a few of the bigger books and i had this book before i had read all the big titles. i went back through this book as in back to basics and it worked wonders!

IMO a great starting point for the basics... I've read better books since but I doubt I would have grasped what they were saying without having read this first.

I read it a few months ago. I'm just starting out and I found it helped me focus on being disciplined whilst reinforcing my determination to trade.

I read it a few months back and it's definitely worth a read. However, I have two major criticisms -

1) He ignores taxation which is one area that I would have liked some attention in - SB is CGT free, but do you have to pay income tax? He disregarded one of spreadbetting's biggest attractions.

2) The book is very much geared towards the medium/longer term trader - he mentions Day Trading in passing. Given this is my prefered trading stance, I was disappointed.

Also, a lot of the spread betting mechanics he describes can be easily picked up from any spreadbetting company's website.

Yep. Bought it and read it. Quite good and clear, i'd recommend it to anyone thats starting out in spread betting.
