Is there really any difference between IGMarkets and IGIndex?

Possibly a silly question but here goes.

Is there any difference between the two?

Can you trade different sizes with Igindex but only fixed lot sizes with IGmarkets?

Think you're right.

Seems that for trading indexes and Fx they both do the same. At the same prices

Igmarkets for cfds , at many products they require bigger positions

Generally though, no difference.

One's SB the other CFD but you trade the same sizes on the same prices when trading something like Cable or s&P?

At igmarkets the minimum for the S&p 50 $ per whole point , but at Igindex it is 10 pound per point , crude oil 5 $/p at igmarkets but it is 1 pound/point at Igindex

Great, thanks,

thats cleared it up.

IGmarkets trade fixed lot sizes...eg s&P $50 the same as the actual contracts where as with IGindex you can trade odd sizes.

Still the .75 spread on the s&Pthough?

Think i'll trade the dow then with them, they both move similarly but the dow's only a 4pt spread, equivalant of 0.4 on s&P
