Best CFD/Spreadbetting account for USA stocks

Hi Guys,

I am looking to start trading USA stocks, (Long & Short), I like the movement & choice. I was going to use my spreadbetting account with Finspread which is great for the UK but the spreads are too wide.

Can anyone suggest a good CFD/spreadbetting account for the USA Markets.

CFDs and spread betting services are not available domestically in the US, so you're effectively limited to looking at what the UK market has to offer.

Hi

Thanks, I didn't know that.

Do you know how trader short stocks in the USA, must be cheaper then spreadbetting from the UK

You have to have a margin account with a US broker and 'borrow' the stocks to sell them.
Don't forget to take into account interest rate charges when you borrow to short (or indeed in CFDS) - interest charges can be worse than the commissions and spreads combined.

Leveraged or margined trading is high risk so make sure you do your homweork very carefully.

IG index has a good platform, and covers alot of US stocks. and all of the ones in the S&P 500

if you are UK based and want to trade US shares using CFDs use IG, most US stocks are 10% but have noticed a few more have become 25% margin rates

IG is alright for US stocks.
GNI touch does US CFDs as well. From what I have seen, they seem to be 10% margin and cover NYSE, Nasdaq, Amex.

Just an update. Capital Spreads now offer 'capitalcfds.com' I use then, & so far great. Fast platform, DMA.

CapitalCFDs are not DMA- the only two companies I am aware of that offer DMA CFDs is IG and FP Markets
