Aloha um i just wanted to check how much regular money you can make spread betting before the company kicks you off?? :-0:-0

Because lost of people ive spoken too are all earning over £60 profit, every single day, day after day!! some are even earning alot more...

But i had a private message from someone saying CMC markets will block you if you start to do good regularly, and will keep you money!! :!::-0:mad:

Is that true though???

If they can reasonably hedge you in the underlying market I can't see why they would throw you out. What they don't like is people who are consistent but trade in too small size to be hedged. So oddly there probably isn't a maximum, they'd prefer you to be making a grand a day rather than a ton.

At £60 a day there will be no problem in my view. Now if it gets to over £1000 a day they will probably put you on dealer intervention before you can take the trade.

spanish89,
Either way, it really doesn't matter. If you're losing money, then the SB company will love you because your loss is their gain. If you're winning consistently, they may or may not like you depending on who you believe. But, let's assume the worse and all the critics of SB companies are 100% correct in their accusations. Imagine you're making a consistent profit and the SB company doesn't like you and makes your life hell through various means at their disposal. This is fantastic news for you as a trader. If you're that good, then there are any number of other brokerages that will welcome you with open arms and where you won't have any of these (alleged) problems. A number of holy grail vendors even include letters from SB companies in their marketing blurb saying that they no longer want their business because it makes them look good. So, like I say, it makes no difference either way and, of all things you have to worry about in your quest to become consistently profitable, this (potential) problem is right at the very bottom of your list.
Tim.

I just banked £1500 this month from CMC, guy sounded a bit peeved I was banking, or that was the impression I got.

Methinks, the most logical strategy to implement, is to have several SB accounts, for the record I have 4, and just switch!
