Automated CFDs tradin like at Interactivebrokers???

I have spent tons of hours building my own automated trading platform over at IB using there API and Java. I have now decided to start trading CFDs because of the added benefit of shorting stocks. I have been searching and mailing company's but cant find anyone that offers automated trading and DMA. Can someone please help me to answerer the question if there are any CFD providers out there that supports automated trading and offers DMA CFDs????

You can directly short stocks thru IB, certainly in US and also some other markets including ASX.

There are exchange traded CFDs on ASX. I'm not sure if IB allows trading of them or the liquidity.
 
Yes i am aware of the shortening opportunity at IB, im manly trading OMX and there can be hard at times finding sortable stock there.
But I am manly interested in knowing the possibilities of automated trading of CFDs?

If you're looking at high volume trades, any of the big shops should be able to accomodate you. If you're trading once or twice a day, I imagine you'll struggle to find someone who will spend the time.
 
Have you talked to GNI? They offer CFDs via their GNI-touch platform, but I think there may also be a possibility of bypassing touch and linking directly into their systems with your automated system. However, they're not likely to let you do that unless you got significant size and volume. Also, if you just talk to their sales team, they might not even know about this, so better try to speak to a tech guy.
 
I make about 2-4 trades a day and not on a huge volume so i dont think they would spend time on me. Was hoping someone already had an API for the public.

Is SaxoBank DMA?

IB will be offering CFD trading to customers soon; it will be accessible from both API and TWS.

Hi Henrik,

I use Accendo Markets and IG Markets, both of which have DMA functionality and automatic trading.

I believe there are a few others who also offer this but can’t remember their names.
