Historical SB Data (Specifically, IG Index)

Apologies if this has been covered on past threads (which undoubtedly it has!), but after searching I couldn't come up with anything concrete or particularly recent.

Essentially I just wanted to ask whether anybody knew of a way of obtaining historical data as quoted by the SB companies (I use IG Index so would be most interested in this data from a personal point of view)?

At the moment I carry out basic backtests using the in-built function in the charts provided by IT Finance, but as I'm sure you know the 1min tick data only goes back a couple of days!

You mean you want 1 minute data backdated several months, for instance? If that is the case, just to confirm that via IG's system, you can't get that, not even in the advanced charting via "tools". Not helpful but at least you know.

Yes, that's correct. I don't suppose you know of any alternatives?
