Hi Folks

I've been position trading for several years now and want to start trading intraday with CFD's.

Who's recommended for a direct market access account in the UK?

(Bump)At the moment it's a toss up between IGMarkets and GNI Touch I've read all the relavent posts on this forum and I'm really none the wiser.

From what I have read DMA isn't really true DMA at all anyway!

Whether they're DMA or not depends on the instrument. Shares generally are, indices and forex aren't. Anyone trading shares is mad imho not to go for direct access. Which one you go for depends on what you're looking to do - check out any data fees you'll be charged for different exchanges, and any platform fees first.

I recently joined IG Markets Level 2 platform. Generally seems to be OK except one trade last week wouldn't go through saying there were insufficient funds in my account when there was easily enough. On phoning up they said that it was a computer problem and once she reset it, it worked fine. It was bad because the market turned in my favour shortly after I tried to make the trade.

Anyway, no problems since then.

Tim.

I can recommend IG too, best Price/ Value Ratio

Level 2 is their high volume trader LII/ DMA Platform - if i remember me correctly there exist several requirements (volume, deposit) to use it.

But PureDeal (DMA Level 1) is good enough for that business the majority is interested in.
Contingent Orders, 1 click trading etc. All in all a nice toy.

other DMA providers are GNI Touch, Saxobank, City Index, Global Trader ....

I could be wrong but I didn't think their PureDeal platform was DMA...
