Live feeds Help required

Hi

Split pointed me over in this direction for help

Require advice on live feeds for ftse & Dow, trading using sb firms and wondered if you use their charts or or buy your own,

I feel they may help but would appreciate thoughts on the subject

If buy your own which firm provides best service etc only require index feeds nothing fancy (no shares or data mining facilities)

Any help would be appreciated

q charts are pretty good for futures they also do the cash prices theyre a part of esignal now but i wasnt a fan of the esignal setup so went for qcharts and a seperate fx provider but it seems the spread betting sites charts are getting better all the time now do a couple of free trials to see whether you think the better charts are worht the expense

have a look at some metatrader based bucketshops. although mainly forex, some have what you are looking for.

I prefer to use an external charting package and feed, it give the fastest update on the charts. A free alternative suggested by lurkerlurker on the YM future (Dow) is www.opentick.com in combination with the free ver (simulated) of Ninja Trader. A good paid combination is IB+feed+Ensign charts, or IB+feed+Buttontrader but you have to have a live account with Interactivebrokers.
