My broker claims that if you are long an option overnight, leg into a spread intra day, and closed the short leg same day the DT requirement is on the uncovered req. not the spread. I think this is incorrect, anyone else have similar experience
Probably the wrong place to post a question like this, but it sounds to me that your broker is correct. If you're uncovered overnight, why wouldn't you require sufficient margin for the position?
