Please make suggestions for our Charity Trading Account (details here) for trades on 24/07/07.

Please abide by the following restrictions:

All trades must have an entry point
All trades must have an exit (target) point
All trades must be good for that day only (no rollovers to start with)
All trades must have a stop

No trades will be made in non-UK Equities or in Heating Oil or Natural Gas contracts.

The maximum stake will be £1 a point in indices, energy and metal commodities and Currency Markets. The maximum stake in all other contracts shall be £2.

Please suggest your stake along with your suggested instrument.

Please do not use this thread for anything other than trade suggestions. Irrelevant posts will be deleted without explanation.

Our thanks to Capital Spreads setting up the account.
 
I think that perhaps we should choose trades and set them up with limit orders as otherwise we could end up with no trades day after day. Anyone have any other ideas so that it's as simple as possible to implement?
 
Only use daily charts for workings. That will cut down on voided trades such as this mornings 2.

Come on Trendie and other short frame traders it will be a good exercise for you.
Never know you might get to like it.

Any ideas for tomorrow's trade? Remember that it will be placed at around 9.00am and run for the course of the day only.

need to know how today finishes before deciding. but will certainly give it another shot.
possibly end-today, or 7am-ish tomorrow.

EDIT: wheres DC2000 when you need perfect entries and profit-targets!! :)

Where are a lot of the other traders? I thought this would offer up more traders, seeing as it is for such a good cause as well.

What about, once the fx comp is running better and the prizes are worth trading for; one of the 'conditions' of winning is that the winner gives at least fives trades for the next month? Or even does the trading for the charity for a week or so?

but, just to play:

BUY GBP/USD, £1 if pullback to 2.0620.
Stop-Loss=2.0590. Profit Target=2.0680.
Risk=30, reward=60.
valid for today only.

yep, thanks folks - keep 'em coming.

Aware that we might be missing a few trades due to the nature of the guidelines we've laid down. We'll try and hammer out something a bit more flexible that hopefully will get a few more of you contributing :)

no worries.....you just missed 140 pips on the way down on monday AM till today AM, and are missing out on 20 pips up so far :cheesy:

edit: and sods law will be that when its my turn its loss :rolleyes:
 
Yes trade triggered at 11.00am, £1 long at 2.0620.
