It appears that MarketMaker is failing to load layouts and other saved information.

Apparently there are problems with the servers which will be resolved in due course.

Anyone know of a number for CMC Markets to open / close positions in the event of computer failure? Also, what information do you need to trade (account codes, etc)?

Cheers

They've fixed server layout. For all you CMC SBers out there, should the platform go down, call

+44 (0) 20 7170 8204 quoting your account number.

dealing desk 0207 170 8202, you do need your client number which is not the one that you use to log in with, as I have found out many times in the past with their shirty helpdesk/ dealers

I have a good word to say about cmc markets. i put a stop on which was honoured even though the market moved so far against me. i though they would stop me out away from my stop and claim that the market moved too fast to allow the stop but they did not. I used to find a lot of slippage but these days they are better with this. Not sure about deliberate spiking and stop hunting as it does seem to go up and find my stop on many occasions only to immediately fall or rise from that position but that could be just my paranoia. How do we prove these things? It is impossible.

One part of the financial spread betting regulation is that you should be able to close your position at any given time thus CMC, like the others, always have to be able to exit you even though their system is down.
lurkerlurker, gave you the phone number and as he correctly said you'll need your account number at hand and they should be able to do the rest.
