Hi there,

would anybody be prepared to lend me a copy of this book.

I'm happy to pay for postage both ways.

Best Regards,

Stewart.

Flippin' 'eck! Just looked for this book and it's £277 on Amazon!! Now I know how to make my first 100 million.

What's it about, may I ask?

Rainmaker...here is the description of the book....

Your First 100 Million £277.00

Dan Peña's book relays his remarkable success story, and the step-by-step guide to the incredible Quantum Leap Advantage® methodology.

This leather-bound, 320-page gold leaf book is a must for anyone serious about making a Quantum Leap in their business and in their life!

The book is not only Dan?s success story, but also a complete guide to QLA methodology. It gives insight into how Dan developed his methodology -- Through Experiences! Through Mistakes, wisdom is created.

Included are sample letters and financial presentation outlines that have worked for Dan and his mentees. Told in a narrative style, Dan Peña is straightforward, enthusiastic, with "no holds barred"!

I guess it's a mix of business/motivation.

Zenda...

I think the authors of the book you mentioned are Glassman and Hassett.

Regards,

Stewart.

(P.S. - I have now secured a loan of this book.)

Was it any good ?. Is it worth the money ?

I was thinking of buying it but would welcome a loan from anyone who has it. Postage paid both ways of course and a bottle of malt into the bargain ?

Smaxwell, why you being so cheap?

Even if the book delivers just 1% of its title that's still a hell of a return on £277 :)

It's so funny.

Go and read the 'Customer' reviews on Amazon.com. They're so obviously written by the author, his friends, his publisher etc. Hell, they're almost as bad as the ones Stanzione wrote on Amazon.co.uk on his crappy book 'This is the best book ever written' - yes I think one of them actually said that!

There's nothing wrong I suppose with promoting your own work but why can't people do it subtly and put in a negative or 2 to give it more credibility.

'The book was a great read etc but I felt that chapter 4 could have been explained in a more lucid manner'

corkyballs - it was alright - certainly not the best book ever written (imho) - and not worth 277 squids.

anley - get serious :) - 277 for a book without guarantees - no chance!

Beach Runner - quite!

Bumping this old thread.

I was able to get hold a copy of this book. The 2nd edition is out with new material including recent events and people.

The good:

It was a fun and exciting read. Nothing like your ordinary "be well balanced, hold hands and everything falls into place" self-help book. It teaches you how to make a ridiculous amount of money in the shortest span of time.

The bad:
It seems to be intended for upper class businessmen types like CEO's and company presidents. It's not a "get rich quick book" either. Also it uses some harsh word like "stupid" or "moron". The materials used for the book could be better.

Conclusion:

Borrow it if can get hold of one. Dan Pena owns his own castle. He built from scratch more dollar value than any other personal development or business success coach around. The book is very expensive but if you have the money, definitely buy it. If you think it costs too much or scared of no guarantee, then it's probably not for you.
