Hi. Can anybody tell this London newbie what a trading edge is and how to get it please? Please write without jargon. Thanks.
Any websites on trading edge please?
 
A trading edge is merely anything you posess, be it talent, knowledge, infrastructure or whatever that can plausibly be said to give you some competitive advantage. That's it. It's that simple. No website required.

Did you read the link I provided in your price action thread? It's written specifically with traders like you in mind and answers the very question you pose in this thread. Why don't you take the time to study it and, having done so, post any questions here that you may have if there's anything you don't understand.

Thanks guys. Sorry to ask such questions that you must get all the time. There is way too much info on this site to wade through, I think.
Just wondered whether Trading edge is mathematical and scientific, or psychological and subjective. I recently read that if you can define were your trading edge is, you havent got one. Is it in myself or into the realms of greater knowledge of money management, risk control and tradinf discipline? Thanks. Great site, by the way.

I shouldn't get too hung up about it, Dom. Just think of it as something that leads to you making consistent profits.

In any event, it's not something you can go and buy in off the shelf at Tesco.
