Looking for a software program that will back test a stocks on a selected set of values such as price, volume, and percentage away from 52 week high or 52 week low of selected stocks. An example may be in order. After screening with say a web based program such as stockfetcher or some other program for say:
price btwn 1 and 20.00 dollars
close up today vs yesterday
volume greater than 100,000
volume greater today than yesterday
close within 10% of 52 week high
or
price btwn 1 and 20.00 dollars
close up today vs yesterday
volume greater than 100,000
volume greater today than yesterday
close within 10% of 52 week low.
After gettig results of screen from as in example stockfetcher, downloading historical data for those stock and testing results of using the above stocks listed. The program would have to be able to perform the same screen as written in order to have the backtesting results to be meaningfull. I would also like it to be a stand alone program for EOD data either supplied by yahoo or HQuote Pro V6.
