I left Chester 6 months ago to work in London, I still have a property in Chester and hope to move back in 2010 if not sooner. Want to get a some capital together and learn as much as I can before I try working from home or a shared office.
Worked at the Royal Liver building for 2 years and I am a Red so I miss Liverpool loads.
 
hi, having just visited London I think you will find Chester much quieter when you return, I have just finished work for a year to see if I can bring in enough money from trading, at present I am spread betting and enjoying every minute:), I feel I am at the beginning of a big learning curve I am willing to listen and learn :D:
 
That's my dream. I currently spread bet the uk/us indexes and currencies but find my emotions get the better of me so I have been looking at automated trading.

I used to live off Liverpool Road but it was getting noisy due to the influx of students to the city, will look at Mickle Trafford when we come back. Hopefully with the house prices dropping I can get something of decent size.

I would like to hear how you get on working from home.

Emotions are the difficult part of trading I have my rules and try to stick to them

As for working from home I love it and just hope I can learn enough to continue long term (I have one year to see if it is possible, I dont expect to make much this year)

Mickle trafford is lovely I drive through it on the school run, when you move back north let me know

Hi Sam,yes I have heard of Higher Kinnerton, I am spread betting the ftse 350, what are you trading ?
Do you trade full time or do you work near chester, I am trying for a year full time trading to see how much I can learn, I am still very much a learner but having alot of fun.

Hello again Lynda,

Check out my other thread, its pretty much my life story! I work here in Higher Kinnerton but I would like to trade full time one day. Only been doing it for a while and yet to find a strategy/technique that suits me and gives me consistent profits. Just trying out some ideas on the FTSE100 at the moment. How are you getting on with your trading then? What sort of strategy are you using? Are you making regular profits or still finding your feet? Read any good books? Hope to hear from you soon,

I'm in wrexham - not far from kinnerton or Chester - trading the UK100 Index, Dow Index & occasionally £vs$, Are you winning or losing ? and where does this go now - am willing to discuss ideas or meet up.

I am spread betting the ftse 350 at the moment I am having a problem with my broker (echelon) can you recommend a good broker :)
I am waiting for the market to settle a bit but I have bought some shares to hold for the next year or two.
I would love to have local contacts to discuss ideas with.

Lynda, me again. I have a spread betting account with interactive investor... I think the platform is supplied by City Index. I don't know how the spreads compare to other firms but the platform is very good and easy to use. Check it out. IG Index is very popular too so check that out.

Hi Sam, thanks I will have a look at igindex and also capital spread, the company I have studied with have recommended mf global. I what to make sure my money is safe this time !!
