Brighton 2008 Meetings

Thought I would start a new thread for the 2008 year for arranging any meetings that will hopefully happen during the year (and this first post will be edited to always show any dates, locations and attendance list for meetings to make it easy for everyone).

It would be good to have a meeting in Q1 of 2008 and then another in the summer 2008 (Brighton is at its best then!!)

So far we have interest from:

Myself
A colleague of mine soon to register
Sunflower
Wasp (summer meet)

Anyone else have any comments/suggestions?

If you could arrange somewhere with good (free) parking on the A23, I'd be happy to join (later in spring)... must be a Harvester or something?

OK, as for a day, I presume everyone would want it on a weekend? Is a Saturday best?

My initial thoughts would be for March sometime, as it will be a bit warmer then I hope.

Would there be a preference to meeting somewhere in town or out of the town? I would have thought in town would give us more choice, but there has already been one request for out of town.

If I can get some idea on those, then I will try to locate a suitable location and set a date and time

usual format for these sort of things is a few informal beers in a pub, midweek evening....somewhere central (easy access, near a train station etc).

just a thought - if u want to try and drum up a bit of interest maybe post a link to this thread in some of the old brighton/southeast meeting threads (as this will send a email alert to people who posted in the tread.......at least it does with me) or do a postcode search and pm all the bn postcodes.

I thought about a Saturday becuase of people possibly trading in the evenings, I sure try to!

This harvester is located next to a Innkeeper's Lodge Hotel.

Looks easy to get to for anyone in Kent and Sussex. And indeed Surrey.

meetings in sussex

Hello, Iam interested in any meetings in sussex, the chance to talk about the way trading is going in general with more and more reliance on computer and internet, and most important of all, finding a good broker. Sarapuk.

It would be good to get one organised in the spring, somewhere out of Brighton-Hove, as parking is bad in the centre. On a nice day it could be on the coast, Saturday would be a poss day, as otherwise, we would think that the greatest ever trading apportunity has been lost for ever!!!!:cheesy::LOL:
