If anyone Is Interesting In meeting up for a general chat about shares In central Brum. then here are the details of our next get together:

We started meeting In November '04 and have had 2 meetings so far, the pub Is

about a 10 minute walk from New Street station so Is quite convenient.

After a brief E-mail chat we have the following thoughts for the next meeting :

The agenda could include the following:

1. Peoples Individual experiences with various Brokers. good and bad.

2. Pros and Cons of Investing against Trading and vise versa.

3. How do SIPPs work In practice.

4. Advantages/Disadvantages of different ISP's.

5. Modem verses Broadband.

6. Investment Strategies.

7. Shares worth considering for long term or short term.

Yes and yes, we have missed the last couple of months because of various people being unavailable, just a temporay situation . I will post when the next one Is on.
 
Is it time to try to resurrect the “Pie and Pint”?

For many, this week has been to say the least disturbing, share prices mainly dropping a few standing still and even fewer ascending the price race.

How did you fare?

Some of us relied on Stop losses. Some just sold when they could and hoped to buy back at a lower price. Some crossed their legs and went to the pub.

Fred and myself are hoping to meet up this Saturday morning (March 10th 2007) at about at 11am, at:-
