the Nikkei

while CMC was down earlier I was using yahoo major market indices page to get an overview of what was going on. I checked out the nikkei, and there is a weird flat line around midday on each chart. is this normal? are they so efficient they all break at the same time :cheesy: ?

They break for lunch in Japan markets! Lucky them.

Yeah, I still trade the Nikkei on occasion as its in my timezone.
I trade the Nikkei through SIMEX, the cash shut for lunch at 11:00am and re-open at 12:30 (Tokyo time)
Futures close at 11:15 and re-open at 12:15.
Futures on simex also stay open for 1/2 an hour after the cash closes (3pm), whereas the futures traded in Osaka trade for 10mins after the close (3:10)
