trading uk shares with no spread

Hi,All

I am spreadbetting mining shares with ig index. Today, because of the news the spread on rio tinto was 30 points so when i put a sell order on,i couldnt get a price inside their spread. I only trade the first 1-2 candles on open.

Is it possible to trade them using level 2 an paying a commission?

Would it

yep, etrade CFD's are quite good or Ig do a CFD, comm is generally 0.1% (min £10) so if they're £20

you're basically paying 2000* 0.001 = 2

so providing you're trading over £10k then you'd basically be paying 2p extra per side as comm so if the underlying spread is 1p you're overall cost would be 5p.
