Long term FTSE?

I have rollovers set on on IG and I was wondering if I could set a trade now without a stop that would continue for the rest of the year or would they find some way to end the trade?

Also does anyone think the FTSE will end up below 4000 at the end of this year?

It should be possible.

Hopefully the ftse futures bottomed the first week in March and this looks like a good climb, and the price will not see the underneath of the 4000-3500 level again.
But really, end year is too far away, just roll with it. Unless you are taking a long term bet.
In which case; ftse will not be under 4000 year end and I want a percentage of your bet winnings please.

dead cat bounce - plenty of bad news to come and fundamentals haven't changed

if you want to do this you are better off buying an etf or a ftse tracker in any case...

Ok. Thanks all for your advice... will definitely be cautious but I for one believe the worst is over!

You can buy FTSE annual which expires in 2010. This leaves you plenty of time. I personally belive we will finish the year around 4400 on the FTSE 100 but will head back to test 3800 or 3500 before the summer.
