S&P 500 forecast feedback requested

Hi Guys

A newbie poster to the site. I have developed and trade, what I believe to be a unique set of trading rules and I am seriously impressed with back-tested results so far. So just my pennies worth on the S&P 500. The last buy signal was given in April 2009 at 845 and unless this market kicks upwards in a big way, there is sell signal just round the corner - Be afraid.

Hi Guys

Update on the S&P500

Just about hanging in in there.Found some short-term support around 1080-1090. Ax I say unless this market kicks up big time from here, I'm out as they say on Dragons Den.

Hi Pat494

I'm not sure if you are aiming your last comment at me? Not in the business of "showing off" nor am I in the stock forecasting business. Couldn't tell you where the market will go tomorrow, let alone next Friday. Then again nobody else can. Just trade in the zone.

have a good week-end

Good Morning

Well it is tough! So I am happy to hitch a ride through the zone and take on what comes my way. Forecasting, short term normally implies charts and technical analysis. been at this game now for too many years, IMO you can forget most of it, just a load of squiggles on chart paper. It really is amazing how many "indicators" can be thought of from a few hard core numbers, like the closing price for instance!

Still waiting for the first "Technical Analysis" book to show in the back pages all of the buy and sell points according to their revolutionary "new indicators" - funny still waiting?

Have a good week

Good Morning All

The S&P still refuses to break from it's slumber. Attempted a bit of a rally yesterday, falling back at the close. Seems I'll have to wait another few days for my trade to conclude. Could still get a good lift up from here, and it'll be "Game on" though it looks to me as if we are at a critical juncture.

Happy trading

Another down day. 5 points more and i'd have been out of that trade. Still, in for another day at least. let's see what today brings. Are we still looking for a new trend up from here, or am I witnessing a slow motion car crash?

Have a good day trading!

Good Morning All

Still in my S&P trade 16 months later. This mus be the week it concludes unless we have this big upswing, yet to materialise. Would be nice to be taken out selling into strength.

Have a profitable week.

sold the sp this morning @ 1062,5 for what could be a wave 3 downwards. daily timeframe looks very short ... managing out the trade on the 4h. keep stop tight!

good trading to everyone.

Good Morning Traders

Finally got the upswing I have been waiting for, to exit this S&P trade. Will sell on open today, around 1080. Nothing like selling into strength as all good traders like to do. Buy signal for this trade was @ 845 on 14th April 2009. Just under 16 months from signal to signal for a gain of 27%.
