Hi,

Which contracts do you recommend?

How wide are the spreads?

For example, the Nikkei 225 that trades on the Singapore Exchange. I believe this contract moves in $5 tick increments. Can some please tell me how wide the spread from bid to offer is?

And does anyone recommend other Asia/Pacific contracts to trade.

Thank you

SGXNK has very good liquidity but the mini has pathetic liquidity at present.
The mini Nikkei on Osaka is about $5 per tick and has incredibly good liquidity. Very very deep.

STW (taiwan) is $10 per tick with daily ranges in the 70-100 tick area. Very liquid.
SPI (aus) is aud$25 per tick. Not so liquid.
KOSPI is $25 per tick (I think) with good liquidity (I think).
HSI is $6.50 per tick and MHI is $1.20 per tick. Both have big spreads and pathetic liquidity but if you use good strategies that doesn't have to matter.

Personally I like a bit of daily range and prefer trend to mean reversion (nikkei) so I trade STW and SPI. If daily ranges decline now that all the markets are only half what they were last year I will start trading HSI again and probably drop STW.
