As of Friday, more than half of companies traded on the S&P 500 had reported with a combined earnings performance of -1.2%, and we are on track to have the first negative quarter in three years. A whopping 63% of reporting companies have missed their revenue forecasts, and many have lowered forecasts for the 4th quarter.
