Why does the trading in the last 1/2 hour turn to crap?

I mean trading of ES, NQ, YM, etc. after 15:30 EST. It seems extremely erratic and technical stuff doesn't seem to provide any edge. Some sttupid very short lived surges back and forth. Why? Do you most of you guys avoid this time?

I am usually gone home by then. Actually do not enter a trade after 15:00hrs. often have oco's working during this period to get out if I still have risk.

Because by this time the fat cats have woven the part of the sweater they are knitting or weaving, and now troop off to have a morning coffee and a break, leaving the kittens behind for them to play about and amuse themselves with the balls of wool in playful kittenlike mischief.

Why would the fat cats wait until 15.30 EST, to have a morning coffee?

Silly me, I thought ' Traderkay' was referring to the last 30min of trading in New York and I thought

what the hell has morning coffee got to do with that? simple mistake really.

i usually trade before 12pm US eastern time..and never in the late pm...just found that my trades worked better in am....usually late pm, the bonds close...which can cause some movement in the sp..people may be positioning themselves for the next day...or they are exiting their position..can cause some erratic moves...but i have also noticed that sometimes a strong trend day can really move in the late pm...
