The landscape of European Stock Exchanges is changing rapidly. Mergers and acquisitions are taking place all over Europe (e.g. Deutsche Börse , LSE and Euronext). How are the chances of stock exchanges to survive independently? Will just one stock exchange in each time zone exist in a long term perspective? How are the chances of the LSE to survive independently? Does a merger end up in higher trading and listing fees?

Let’s find it out!

In cooperation with the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm (Sweden) and Darmstadt University of Technology (Germany) I am currently participating in the competition of stock exchange centers and operators in Europe. In order to substantiate theoretical assumptions, I am interested in empirical facts confirming or denying the latter. I would, therefore, like to ask you to fill in the attached questionnaire (see link above) Since the results will be made available on an anonymous basis, you may additionally benefit from participation.

Thank you very much for your support
