Hi all,

This may be a dumb question but I've been following the constituents in the FTSE 350 for a number of weeks now and have noticed that week-on-week the constituents seem to vary.

How often is the FTSE 350 updated with new companies and other ones relegated?

Also why does there seem to be 356 constituents instead of 350?

Sorry if these are stupid questions but it is really frustrating me, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

The index is reviewed quarterly. There can be changes in the interim in the case of corporate activity / new IPO's which are entered within a couple of days of occuring, and the index adjusted to ensure there are 100 and 250 names in the FTSE 100/250 respectively. There shouldn't be more than the given number of companies listed, if you're counting above 350 then you're probably double counting different share classes, eg Royal Dutch Shell A class and B class shares.

Thanks very much Jack o'Clubs.
