Hello everyone,

I am not sure if this section is the right one to inquire this and i apologize if its not. Nevertheless, my question is as follows:

I am in Canada and i would like to ask people who are successfully trading securities using an offshore entity/trust structure to LEGALLY minimize and/or AVOID (again LEGALLY) capital gains taxes etc to grow their nest egg offshore.

Any form of guidance, opinions, pointing in the right direction would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Have you tried to do any research yourself or do you just want someone else to do the research for you?

I know what you are trying to do. I made some money in this game and I couldn't really classify what I was for tax purposes, while I was more FX Options it doesn't qualify for tax, I still needed self assessment done. This became impossible, so the solution tends to be set up an offshore company trade from their, you are a domicile of your country so no real escape. So I set up a legitimate business to act as a front, it paid me a wage so I don't have to worry about the tax man saying I am evading, I self assess against that while the bulk of my gains sat in the Seychelles holding firm that owned 100% of my legitimate outfit and also my trading, my derivatives broker is offshore, so my account is outside of local jurisdiction, hopefully this helps. I solved a lot of issues that way. Other than that it is a nightmare. Most people won't know this because they haven't made any money from trading, it is not hard to tell, if you have made anything at all the tax man would have taught you a lesson or two.

Do get some offshore tax advice but that's how I fixed it.
