Worried trader needs advice

I have been offered this job by a hedge fund (its name will remain unknown), however since I am not a professional trader they recommended that I take their course (which is about 800$ and 5 days long). My problem is that is this legit, what kind of questions should I be asking. I do not want to take the course and then be denied a seat in their firm. Moreover, it is usually the firm's responsibility to provide its prospective workers with training and not vice versa.

EDIT: Nevermind, I decided not to take my chances, the risks are too high... :cheesy:

Any hedge fund that can not afford $800 to educate their workforce is not a hedge fund you should be considering joining.... period. Assuming your being offered a trading position its quite another question to ask why any successful hedge fund take on anybody without the requisite trading experience in the first place? That was exactly my view of the situation. Also, the interviewer bragged how great his hedge fund was. In addition, he mentioned that it was in the top 10 of the hedge funds worldwide. I googled this hedge fund and all i was able to find was job offers from it on various websites with "no experience needed, will train" :cheesy:

At that moment, I know that it was a scam and stopped thinking about it...
