Yet another spread betting tax question....

From what I've seen the answer is very hazy when it comes to spread betting being tax free....but the majority seem to believe that it IS tax free if it ISN'T a sole source of income.

I'm sure this has probably been asked before, but what i'm wondering is....if someone who is consistently profitable with trading were to get a part time job, say as little as possible such as 2 hours a day for 3/4k per annum (the job itself being below the tax threshold obviously) and declare this job as ones main income, would any spread betting profits be definitely tax free, even if they ended up totalling a lot more than the annual salary of the part time job?

thanks in advance to anyone who reads/responds...
