Hello

I'm moving to Japan. Because of the beautiful lifestyle and people. What are the implications in terms of trading over in Tokyo or Kyoto, from home, I would be trading on the UK and US Markets, Probably not the Nikkei

Cheers

Hi I am Ed, I used to live and trade from Tokyo. It is indeed beautiful place to live. You have the advantages of trading in the UK market and have plenty of time to prepare for it (whole morning finishing other tasks). So far, I don't think it is a good idea to discuss trading with others. There is a saying "nails that stick up will be removed first". As trader, you are definitely a maverick among Japanese.

And, the big three bank, Mitsui, Mitsubishi, and Mizuho are very strict about transferring money off shore. Last time I used Mitsubishi, it took me 30 min to do a transfer, plus I have to use a weird intercom in the bank to do that.

Hope this help. Any question, IM me.

PS I am in NYC now

I think there's one issue. timezone is not comfortable as almost 5 or 6 hours to UK. and 10+ to US. you have to work at night. If it's a full job, it's ok. but if not, that's not a good choice.
