Hi everybody and thanks in advance for your advice.

For several years now I had been brokering real estate office transactions. Due to market conditions, and looking for cash flow, I qualified myself for RDR level qualifications in financial advice, private client advice and I can manage money. I have set up an professional (ie non retail) investment fund in Malta for my real estate stuff and an asset management company. I want to set up an equities fund (for a few thousand EUR more) and lack experience. (Of course I can hire in a fudn manager or outsource but need experience).

Any advice on how to build up experience in terms of fundamental asset management ie the basics of portfolio construction? I was thinking of working for free for some asset manager in exchange for experience. If anyone can help le me know.

The process is a real danger for investors. Your situation is why people need two years worth of records of consistency.
Average funds are down 4% year end.

I like Chris Lori, you could join his club. He's a CTA and can train you. Check reviews and make your own mind up.

I checked out the site, he looks good (his success in sport shows psychological qualities which must translate into trading). I will contact him.

What I need, however, is two kinds of knowledge.

1 The traditional asset manager who puts together an equities portfolio for the long term and re-balances it occasionally
2 Hard core and successful day/ intraday -trading stuff.

Regarding the latter, I have done some research and
1 there is a guy called Timothy Sykes who rides 'pump and dump' penny stocks in the USA who seems very successful.
2 Also a guy called sanglucci Sanglucci.com - Turn $1,000 to $200,000
3 These trading systems show huge returns

any comment on these guys and the trading systems would be greatly appreciated guys (and girls)....

how the hell did you get rdr without understanding MPT lol.

Why not just pick apart existing funds and see how they tick? If Rothschild lost money, anyone can. These trading websites are the last place you want to visit either way.

What happened to Rothschild?

If there are any discretionary fund managers out there with whom I could work for free/low pay to learn the practicalities please let me know.

BTW I saw Mr Lori on You Tube and I think he is very good. No 'secret systems' rather hard work and inner game.

Anybody that's selling something generally isn't trading profitably. Ask any of them for hard proof ie audited accounts and see what excuses you get.

If you check those systems on c2 you can see the figures that customers are getting on real accounts.
