How to make a track record bullet proof?

Wondering how you should go about creating a track record , documenting all your trades, without any doubt that it's been falsified? Would account statements be enough, along with pictures/reasons? Or would a live 'as it happens' kind of journal be more appropriate?

Also... is there such a firm out there which backs swing traders (4-5 trades a month) and lets them trade remotely? If so, please let me know.

Thanks.

With regards to your first statement. Is the goal so that you can show a bank or government about your trades for some purpose or is it just for your personal records? For my records I use a Trading Spreadsheet and Trading Journal in Excel and keep track that way. Obviously you have your acct statements to back them up and show your Accountant. The detail of why you placed the trade will not be found in your broker statements and thats why a Trading Spreadsheet is important.

I use the following Spreadsheet. http://tradingspreadsheets.com/default.aspx

I have NO affiliation with them but think it is well worth the money and easily modifiable to your prefernces.

Good Luck.

I mean to keep as a personal record to show to potential investors, thanks for that though.

Offer to let the potential investors contact the broker themselves to verify the statements you are showing are genuine.

Good idea, wondering though about my second question; any firms out there that accept swing trading (solely)?

I have no idea but if you can prove a track record/stable and decent return, and demonstrable sound risk/money management there are no end of HNW private individuals/small groups who you could trade for.

G/L

Also need to know about FSA legalities regarding trading OPM when not trading for a firm... can you do it unauthorised so long as you don't solicit/advertise for funds?
