hi :)

so there is alot of just lulz / spam / howard / FX calls of 5 min graphs, and i reckon like everyone ever that uses vBulletin all anyone does is go to new posts and see whats happening from that.

SO

If you are an oldie on trade 2 win can you post a link to a thread that is hidden in the archives that is one of your faves?

thanks (y)

dash

just go to the various forums and the "best threads" stickies - there's some good stuff to keep you entertained

Just to add to Jon's comment, the collection of [Best Threads] is a little thin on the ground in some forums (i.e. none!) - so I am keen to add more. However, I have a problem in that if I trawl through the bowels of T2W and post what I consider to be the best threads - then the collection will just reflect my personal view - which is far from ideal.

Time then for me to make one of my impassioned pleas for all you good folk out there to tell me which threads you want added. Any quality thread focused on trading with minimal lulz will be considered! So, please, please, please either PM or post your suggestions to the appropriate [Best Threads] thread.

Socratese? yeah I recognize the name but didn't he turn out to be a hoax or sumthin?

His plain vanilla options thread did indeed turn into a bit of a dogs breakfast much to everyone's delight. Tales of his somewhat bizare teaching style during his tenure as a vendor are the source of classic T2W lulz.

However lets be realistic, T2W is paid for by people with a vested interest in ensuring traders lose money, and I'm sure it suits those peoples adgenda to ridicule and discredit the very few genuinely useful contributors. The mods will no doubt be along soon enough to stick the boot into Mr Socco. Ask yourself whats their motivation for doing that ?

People are either at a stage in their own development where his material is of use, or they are not. I certainly dont agree with everything he says, and I've had many a disagreement in both public and private, but one thing is absolutely for sure, the guy's forgotton more about this game than I'll probably ever know.

What a load of old cobblers, hare :). Socco certainly knew his business alright - I once watched him bring in 57 consecutive trades off the trot (everything is known in advance you know) :D. He did have an enigmatic style, of course, which people either loved or hated. Unfortunately, he would keep abusing the "unworthy" and despite many warnings and chances it all became too much.

57 trades in advance => trading genius?

so that's where Howard got his idea from!

 sorry, should have put the pinky bit in brackets (Socco's favourite colour and phrase) - haved edited now

Everything is known in advance.

Socrates' colour was purple Jon, for a reason. It's the detractors that use pink in their failed attempts at satire.

:cheesy: oops, very true, nt, the old memory is not what it used to be.
