Hello people,
In terms of increasing my chances of getting a job in the industry is CISI DIPLOMA any good?
Just finished the cisi certificates in Securities and Derivatives an I'm thinking about starting with the diploma (http://www.secinst.co.uk/bookmark/genericform.aspx?form=29848780&URL=CISIDiplomaHP), I'm just not sure if it's gonna make a difference in terms of getting a job in the industry.
I'm working as an accountant a the moment, with an 2/2 Economics degree from a mid-uk university and till now the responce has been disappointing.

Anyway do you know any other qualification than the diploma that will improve my CV and increase my chances of getting a job in the industry?

Thanks for the help

Hi mate,

The Diploma is more focused on investment/ wealth management. It's not really for trading and I don't think any trading houses would require it.

You'd be better studying for the CFA, which is harder but more widely recognised. That said, I'm not sure if the CFA is really needed for a lot of roles in trading, it'd just look good on your CV.
