Top Prop Shop

Hello, I am a math major at a top public (non-target) school. I have a good gpa etc. Im interested in possibly getting an MFE or maybe even a doctorate in fin eng, but I think its best if I first get work experience. Anyone have any info on top prop shops i.e. Jane Street, Optiver, DRW etc, how they would view a non target and if I could get tested. Im in the honors program at the University of Florida, started there before I was finance oriented b/c it was free. Thanks.

Check the recruiting office and see who is coming to campus. If any of your target companies recruit there, make an appointment.

Write to the firms you are interested in and inquire about summer or year-long internships.
