Do you like weekends? Personaly i cant be arsed with them there are no markets open! Everyone "cant wait for the weekend" but i would rather it was a weekday every day! Specially living in scotland with dog **** weather, camped out in the house while its pissing with rain (n)

Since I stopped attending work ( note I did not say stopped working since I never really started ) for a living around 8 years ago, I have ceased to recognise the weekend.

I do prefer Monday to Fridays though because it means I can get all the gardening and house improvement work done without having to listen to my pitiful neighbours bleating on about their boring jobs, poor mites.

Only slaves enjoy weekends.

Not true!
My local Morrisons has been open today, I went in with £80 and came out with £10.

Weather: why don't you move somewhere sunnier?

Weekends with no markets: Kind of agree, but I thought you traded mostly long-term.
Isn't there planning type stuff to be doing?

Only slaves enjoy weekends????So what are you a slave too during the week.Work to live not live to work. Its ok to be passionate or enjoy a way of life but how long before it becomes obssesive and all consuming.

Homer knows !

yeh do some analsys etc on weekend when im bored but i can also do it during the week as im not always activly trading but always watching markets tick for tick near enough.

i would move somewhere hot if it wasnt for friends and familly here, hopefully move once i meet a girl to move with.

Speaking about stepping into water: One weekend I stepped into a meter deep patch of "quicksand" with one foot - in one hand I had a rather expensive camera, but managed to grab nearby tree branches to get out. Backfill water from a nearby dam was covered with dust and tree droppings, leaves, etc, sure looked solid. It did occur to me that being there, nobody knowing where I was, was pretty dumb. My next outing I used a stout stick to test the path when near water! Now about trading.. pretty much the same story! I'm the guy friends call to see what I've bought recently - so they don't make the same error!

Unless you live in isolation you cannot really cease to recognise weekends, the very character of things are different.

Unfortuantely I've been doing some driving today, and what I really don't like on weekends is the sunday driver on the motorway.

Oh well, at least they're easy to under-take.

"Oi listens to de boidies choipin'."

"They are not "boidies", they are birds"

" Oh, well, dey choips like boidies"

Employed work is slavery and you have to answer to your employers for a large part of your existence.

That is why slaves enjoy the weekend so much because the leg irons have been unlocked and the employees are allowed to go home, if they are lucky. They are free from the whims of their employers and masters for something like 64 hours and so enjoyment has to be the # 1 objective before the clamps are put back in place at 9am on Monday.

I please myself what I do 7 days a week. If I care to work and make money then fine, if I don't then also fine.

I cannot imagine becoming obsessive about anything to do with work, except perhaps the avoidance of it.

For the major part of my life, ever since getting my degree and professional qualifications, I have charted a pretty successful course through the wilderness of work and play, and managed to be financially successful without ever trying very hard.

I engaged cruise control at around the age of 26 and the button is still firmly depressed some decades on.

My major personal motto has always been, " Never do today what can be put off until tomorrow ".

It appears to have worked.

Has it ever occurred to you that some people may like the 9 to 5 with a weekend off.

Well I think hmmm saturday get cooking a bit, few beers, cos sunday (night) the markets open up ! So its only the one day to wait.

So yes I prefer it when the markets are open, and I would prefer they trade 24/7 to allow for continuity of risk to unfold. Like all these folks saying what a time to release the bank stress tests at 5 pm on a euro afternoon at the end of the week.

And the feds have released the odd sunday shocker only for markets to gap open at the start of the week.

I do peek at oanda fx trade prices as you can deal saturday n sundays if needed, fat spreads but the odd movement has happened in the past, only if some prescribed news invent was waiting results, like elecetions or something .....

But handy to check to see if any fx has moved since friday to sunday... All quiet at this time still. :)

It takes all types. I am friendly with a doctor who is quite happy working for an insurance company, 9-5, in trying to find lazy slaves who are malingering.

Gadzooks Split, that would have been me when I was in bondage all those years ago.
