Well the cost of a haircut has doubled in 6 months. What has occurred for this to happen? Has the hairdresser increased his considerable skills?
Erm..nope.
Have his overheads increased significantly?
Erm...nope.
Is he performing an extra service?
Erm...nope.
Is the hairdresser taking more time than usual?
Erm...nope
Has he recently completed a university degree therefore somehow entitling him to more money?
Erm...NOPE

SO WHY THE FE* has a haircut gone from £10 to £20? That's £40 to £60 an hour. I repair computers when I'm not trading and can only get away with charging £20 per hour max, much less on a major job so how the h*ll can you get away with charging that Sonny Jim??

Supply and demand?

Mr Braun made another sale yesterday. Now that's market forces in action.

It must be where you go because it is the same price here as has been for years. Maybe there has been a drop in the number of hairdressers in your area so that demand is now greater than supply which would push prices up.

The other possibility is that he has recently been listening to recordings by the likes of well known business guru who advocates that whatever you are selling just double the price.

£20 for a haircut? Don't tell me you get a head massage whilst your lovely locks are being washed and a slightly more interesting selection of magazines to read..........

Buy some clippers and DIY. Always look for value in everything you do.

And I thought this was about 5.3% RPI

Ask your hairdresser to cut off half as much hair for half the current price.
Also recycle by sweeping up your own hair and recycling into hair extensions or wigs.

Good profit margin in wigs:LOL: I'll sell them back to the git.

That's this weeks call folks:
Short hair
Long wigs

No, Spain still seems to be 13 euros for the pricier ones. My bil has a shopping list for when he comes out here. A haircut is on it---tightwad!

Anyone seen Nicholas Cage's Hair in Bad Luitenant: Port of Call New Orleans? The absurdness of it continually distracted me from what was happening in the movie. That hair is why you shouldn't complain at payin a purple for a good cut.
