UK financial futures markets are opening at 1am... I certainly will be trading them, anyone else?

I'll have a go - what do you think Tory Win +'ve UK , Labor Win +'ve UK , Lib Dem Win = Hung Parliment -'ve UK - I think the market has priced in a hung parliment already so could have 0 impact - although I hear that some analysts think UK debt could be d'graded if we have hung parliment in which case sell GBP and FTSE - could be fun though but I will trade 1/5 th of my usual size!
 
If Nick Clegg doesn't become PM I will be very upset. When he looks into the camera and speaks, I really connect with him. I think the Liberals want us to join the euro as well.. that would be an awesome idea. Go Nick!!
 
Two reasons for a debt downgrade imo

1) It will occur shortly after the confirmation of a hung parliament. I don't think it's been completely priced in yet.

2) Emergency budget is not tough enough and clear enough on cutting structural deficit. I think this is what everybody is really waiting to see.

I'll be having a curry and will be on the lash. No intention of trading.

I watched the Gordon gaffe on youtube and the subsequent apology and the radio phone-in. I very nearly caught myself feeling sorry for him, but f-ck him, he's destroyed the country he deserves all he gets.

It's not a smile, it's a grimace/rictus. What a clown. Only a few days left, and then it will be a bad memory
 
im trading the election , long Nick Clegg £200 bet 150/1 ...............you never know ,its worth a punt .

A big options trader recently told me that the temptation of huge odds (combined with the occasional big win) and this famous saying "it's worth a punt" is why so many traders do their ars*s all day long.

That's not a personal attack by the way - just an observation :)
 
at the same time some traders are making a killing all day by putting there money were there mouth is .
