cftc cuttiting our leverge

so I got this e-mail that informed me that cftc will cut our leverage to 1:10.And this will be in effect in the next couple of months

what do you guys know about this.Personally it won't effect my lot size i trade much.However what will the effect be on the market itself?

The email is wrong. The CFTC floated a proposal for discussion with that and a bunch of other stuff (mostly dealy with new broker requirements) in it. Nothing has been finalized or approved and given the strong negative broker and customer reaction, it may never come.
