Are you trading the Markets as a step ladder for something else or bigger?
Have you reached that goal? Will you stop trading when you reached your goal? did you?
Some traders i know are using markets as a step ladder for something bigger, or more interesting in life.
Some have reached there goal and are trading part time, or stopped.
Because of the huge potential gains from the markets, you can use that to abtain your goals in life.
Money is power to other paths.
Do you know any known or famous people that have used the markets as a step ladder to other things?

Yes,

Trading is the step ladder to a bigger house, nicer car, more holidays, more world experiences, better education for my son.

As for a more interesting, i find trading intresting enough as far as been a means to an end. All work/trade/hobbies by nature becomes repetitive if you have not set yourself a new target to achieve.

I need the money to start my own country.

Until I achieve that I don't really envisage any other career. Why would you give this up?

when you reach that goal you wont chase any other goals, trading will fulfill all your material needs. One may look for an expensive pastime.

Sadly most never get to the first rung.

I think everyone is using it as a step ladder to something, even if only to get fitlhy rich. If you think too much about the money though, you can end up stressing out and losing everything. Think about the money by all means, treating it as a business, but don't start "OMG I must win the next trade, I really want that cool new Porshe!!"... just look at the 95% of newbies!

I'm treating it as a step ladder to more freedoms in life. Less time constraints and more opportunity to spend time with my family, friends and loved ones. Basically just to enjoy life!! That's what we all want, isn't it?
