hi..

my friend told me his fx broker called him and offer to trade his account since they've notice the account wasnt actively traded.

anyone ever get such experience from their broker? this is serious talk, i havent tell him could be another trick to get more spread or possible loss..? but what do you all thinks?

One possibility is that they sold a list of all inactive clients to a third party and the third party called saying that they are associates of the FX broker; your friend misunderstood the opening.

 well.. thats even worse if its true. damn broker leaked out the private contact details.

Well, indeed; does depend on what was signed during the application process, of course. If you didn't tick the box saying that you don't want to be contacted regarding offers by the company and associated businesses (read: companies we sold your data to), the company can sell lists of data as follows:
-active traders
-traders in a particular county
-traders of a particular age group
-traders with accounts smaller than £10,000
-etc

Perfectly legal in the UK and many other countries.

"Can I trade your account"

Translation -

"I (the broker) want to use your account so as I can make some guaranteed money and if there is any profit left, which is unlikely, then it's yours!"
