On a recent trade I found the price going sideways for a long time and instead of taking a few pips and moving on, I sat and watched it hit my stop, losing the whole risk unit. it reminded me of an old Russian joke (Arafat was alive then):
Teacher: Children, name some great military commanders. Masha?
Masha: Kutuzov! [1812 Napoleon invasion]
teacher: great! what did he do?
Masha: he lured the French deep into Russia, waited till it cooled down to -40C, then drove them all the way to Paris.
Teacher: A+. Next. Sasha?
Sasha: Stalin! He lured the Germans deep into Soviet Union, waited till it dropped down to -40C, then drove them all way to Berlin.
teacher: excellent! Johnny!
Johnny: Yasser Arafat!
Teacher: Hm. Interesting! What did he do?
Johnny: He lured the Israeli into Palestine and is now waiting for it to cool down to -40!
