Volume...

you probably know this already but pro real time, is eod only but has a lot of products, a ton of futures, and volume for everything apart from forex...obv.
 
Sorry TF but i just think you should pay for some software.... Why give yourself a disadvantage against those that do, especially as volume is a pretty vital tool. I've never come across free bar by bar volume.

Mmmm...Personally i've never felt charts (such as Igindex) were enough to fully know whats going on. I lost money using charts (£1000) until i bought proffesional charting that had Time and Sales plus i got order flow.
Without them i think i would still be very confused and searching of how i can make money of them charts...

The difference is massive. For instance i play breakouts, Time and Sales tells you if its real or not. Igindex just show you a breakout... You don't know if its going to be real or not. I found the difference massive and without changing i think i would still be searching.

Another thing is tick-charts. Which are very unaccurate on Igindex and don't have volume.
I think without that sort of information, i would still be very stuck on an Igindex account, fearful of losing money... I think getting these things are very neccesary. Just my opinion.

Well right now i'm using quite expensive charting however when i first started paying for software it was only $31.00 and highly recommendable. Still regard my old charting very highly... I can't express how much of a difference getting away from simple time-based candlestick charts was for me.
 
aren't u going to recommend Ninjatrader HT? with amp futures/mirus futures/global futures (they do TT as well) you can get all Time and Sales/Dom for free and volume etc etc but it is just a trial...good to see if you can work with T&S/DOM or not.
I think it depends on what you want TF? intraday? eod?

Cr6196 brings up a good point actually, if you sign up for with a broker he has suggested (Go with Muris Futures) and you'll get free charts (relatively small amount of data) ... Then you can have Time and Sales, NinjaTrader T/S is quite neat too but their order flow is ****.... Don't use that for your orders etc ... I'm not sure if you get volume though.

It does depend what markets your interested in, here i am assuming you trade futures - Because they are the best....
TT is very good also (The DOM is much better)
 
yeh you get volume and it is all customizable...why do u think the order flow isn't good? the data feed is zenfire...i think, i don't trade futures tho.

Obviously Zen-fire is a very fast feed and the actual order flow itself is accurate, what i meant is that i don't like the DOM and placing orders through it... Because if you want to place a stop order above price, for example price @ 100, Buy @ 101 it will place a limit order and instantly fill you...
Although you can change this so that you place stop orders using the middle mouse button but when your scalping it just makes it that little bit more difficult.
