stock screener

Hi everyone

I have develop a stock screener with msn for CANSLIM (if someone want to see it just askand I will write it down), it follows exactly the rules as stated in "How to Make Money in Stocks" it works very well I manage to find stocks within the top 50 of the IBD 100 list.

I would like to develop screener orientated more in the Darvas and Livermore style, base more on the industry, earnings, earnings estimate and volume. The problem is that I do not know how to do it so if someone can help me or uses a similar screener that would like to share it it would be very nice.

Since many people want the screen here it is :

Last Price >= 15

Last Price >= 0.9*52 Week High

EPS Growth Qtr vs Qtr >= 20

Rev Growth Qtr vs Qtr >= 10

EPS Growth Year vs Year >= 20

Return on Equity >= 15

Net Profit Margin >= Industry Average Net Profit Margin (this is optional)

3 Month Relative Strength >= 80

Debt to Equity Ratio Low as possible

%Institutinal Ownership >= 5

%Institutinal Ownership <= 35

Total Shares Outstanding as low as possible

I would suggest doing the work yourself rather than using a screener. They cannot be relied upon.

For Livermore you are better off writing the numbers down yourself using some notepaper. I wouldn't start with too many stocks. Just pick a handful of pairs that fit the criteria he outlined.

For Darvas you can cast your net slightly wider. The key is to stop looking at the charts and start looking at the newspaper (and your notebook)

meetinvest.com has done exactly what you did, as far as I see. I think Darvas and Livermore are not yet in, but they have strategies from:
Buffett, Cornell, Dreman, Graham, Lakonishok, Levermann, O’Neil, O’Shaughnessy, Piotroski, Templeton, Thorp and Weiss.

They said they'll probably add Greenblatt, Neff, Hagstrom, Fish, Nicholson and Reinganum later.

It's free btw, and CANSLIM is covered also.
